AGENT MONITORS

Something happens.
Your agent starts.

A monitor watches for the one thing a task is waiting on. When it arrives, Keeploop hands it to your agent, so the work picks up without you checking in.

See how it works
ONE TRIGGER. ONE NEXT STEP.EXAMPLE
  1. Mon
    You ask once

"Tell me when the contract comes back signed and start the onboarding checklist."

  2. Mon
    Keeploop watches

Mail from the client. Subject has "signed". Ends in 7 days.

  3. Thu
    The signed copy arrives

    The monitor matches the email.

  4. Next
    Your agent picks it up

Reads the email, updates the checklist note and drafts the welcome email for your review.

Illustrative example. Monitors are a Pro feature. Waking an agent follows your rules and asks first by default.

HOW A MONITOR WORKS

Set it once.
Stop checking.

Ask your agent in plain words. It sets up a monitor with what to match, how long to watch and how to tell you.

Every line you fill in must match. A monitor runs for up to 30 days, and you can pause, edit or cancel it in Settings > Monitors.

  1. Match the right thing

Mail: sender, subject, words in the message, account. Slack: channel, person, thread replies, mentions or direct messages.

  2. Choose how you hear

Tell me by Mac notification, a message to the agent that set it, your phone, Slack or a Codex conversation.

  3. Decide what happens if the chat is closed

Reopen the agent chat in the background, open it in Terminal, or just notify you.

PUT IT TO WORK

Hand off
the waiting.

Name the trigger and the next step. Ask your agent to confirm the monitor before it starts.

TRY ASKING
Tell me when the contract from Dana comes back signed. When it does, start the onboarding checklist in my Clients note and draft a welcome email for me to review. Confirm the sender, subject and end date with me before you create the monitor.

Needs Mail, Notes and Pro. Note edits and drafts follow your permissions. Nothing is sent without your rules allowing it.

TRY ASKING
When Alex replies to the Q4 budget thread, read the reply and draft my follow-up. Do not send it. Watch for 3 days.

Needs Mail drafting and Pro. Sending stays your decision.

TRY ASKING
Watch for an email from my airline about a flight change. If one arrives, update my Lisbon itinerary note with the new times and tell me what changed.

Needs Mail, Notes write access and Pro. Note edits happen on your Mac, never over Remote.

WHO PICKS IT UP

Some agents resume.
Others get a nudge.

Claude Code and Codex
Keeploop reopens the chat that set the monitor, in the background with only Keeploop's tools (plus any you approve for that monitor), or in Terminal.
Cursor, VS Code, Claude Desktop
Keeploop opens the app with the match copied to your clipboard. It cannot reopen a specific chat.
ChatGPT
Gets the match once it has subscribed to Keeploop's events. Until then, you get a notification.
Other AI apps
You get a notification. Settings > Monitors shows exactly what each monitor will do.

Waking an agent asks you first by default, is capped per hour and can respect quiet hours. Your Mac must be awake, online and running Keeploop. A reply is information for the agent, not permission to act.
