# Keeploop for Grok

Keeploop is a Mac menu bar app that gives the AI apps you already use access to the sources you choose on your Mac: Mail, Calendar, Messages, Notes, Slack, Contacts and more. It is an MCP server. You decide what each AI can see and do, and actions that matter wait for your approval on the Mac. With Grok: Grok on the web at grok.com. Connection: remote. Grok reaches your Mac through one URL, https://mcp.keeploop.app/mcp, and Keeploop's connection service passes each request to your Mac and the result back. Plan: Web and phone AI apps need Keeploop Pro or the free trial. Requirements: a Mac with Apple Silicon, running macOS 26 or later.

## Things to ask Grok

Examples from the Keeploop site. Replace Cedar, Maya and the dates with your own details.

- "My next meeting is the Cedar review. Read the event, recent work mail, the shared project Slack thread and my Cedar note. Give me the latest decisions, unresolved questions and source links. Do not edit anything." (Reads Calendar, Mail, Slack and Notes.)
- "Find the dinner confirmation in Mail and compare it with Friday's shared calendar. Check the relevant group message for arrival details. Show the sources and flag mismatches. Do not change the booking." (Reads Mail, Calendar and Messages.)
- "Find Maya's latest question in my work mail. Draft a reply using the project note, and show me what you used. Do not send it." (Mail and Notes read access. Saving a Mail draft needs draft access and any required Mac approval.)
- "Watch for a reply in this email thread for the next 24 hours. Ask me which available alert destination to use before creating the monitor." (Monitors are a Pro feature. Mail monitoring must be enabled. Creation and alert delivery depend on your rules, configured destinations and the Mac staying available.)

## Set up Keeploop for Grok

On your Mac, sign in and pair once:

2. Choose New Connector, then Custom. Name it Keeploop and paste https://mcp.keeploop.app/mcp.

4. Approve the app on your Mac. The Mac and the browser show the same code.
5. Ask Grok to run check_setup.

Note: Business and Enterprise teams need an admin to add the connector first.

## What Grok can and cannot reach

- Only the sources and accounts you enable in Keeploop: Mail, Calendar, Messages, Notes, Slack, Contacts and more. Permissions are per source, account, label, contact and app: Block, Ask (approve on the Mac each time) or Auto.
- Search and read every source you choose. Drafts, replies and monitors work too. All web and phone use needs Pro or the free trial.
- Texts, notes and Slack writes and saving attachments are local only, never from a web or phone AI app. From the web and phone, a new email, a draft change or a delete asks you on the Mac every time, unless you add a rule marked Only over remote access.
- Your Mac must be on, with Keeploop running. If it is not, Grok gets: "Your Mac is offline or asleep, so Keeploop can't reach it. Wake the Mac and make sure Keeploop is running, then try again." Nothing is queued for later.
- Keeploop does not sync conversations or memory between AI providers. Each AI app needs its own connection.

## Privacy

- Your data stays on your Mac until an AI app you connect asks for it. When you use Keeploop from a web or phone AI app, our connection service passes requests to your Mac and results back. It never stores them.
- One-time and MFA codes are hidden from results sent to web and phone AI apps.
- Every new web or phone AI app needs your approval on the Mac. Remove it on the Mac to revoke it.
- When your AI asks for something, the result goes to that AI provider. The provider's own data policy applies.
